Abstract:
Heat transferis numerically investigated in aconfined oscillating laminar slot jet. The inlet velocity profile is uniform, and oscillating with an angle {CF}{86} (in radians) as follows:{cedil}{9D}{9C}{91} = {cedil}{9D}{9C}{91}{cedil}{9D}{91}{9A}{cedil}{9D}{91}{nonjoin}{cedil}{9D}{91}{AElig} {acute}{88}{97} {cedil}{9D}{91}{A0}{cedil}{9D}{91}{96}{cedil}{9D}{91}{9B}{acute}{81}{Lstrok}(2{cedil}{9D}{9C}{8B}{cedil}{9D}{91}{93}{cedil}{9D}{91}{Lstrok}).{CF}{86}max is the maximum jet angle, and f is the frequency of oscillation. The height-to-jet-width ratio was set to 5, the fluids Prandtl number is 0.74 and Reynolds number was fixed at 250.Strouhals numberSt, which is the other dimensionless group characterizing this problem, was varied in the range 0.05
