The fiber reinforcement and curing regimes used in producing alkali-activated construction materials are first identified. Then, the effects of varying the curing regime and the content of different metallic and nonmetallic fibers on the mechanical properties and durability characteristics of ACC are elucidated. The microstructure characteristics are further highlighted using scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray. The gaps in the current knowledge are established and the directions for future research are outlined. |
