Abstract:
In the absence of an efficient community sanitation and sewage disposal, the risks for transmission of hospital organisms, including Multi Drug Resistant Gram Negative Bacilli (MDR GNB) into the community are high and pose a public health concern. Inappropriate disposal of antimicrobial agents into the environment contributes to the emergence and spread of resistance.
