نحاول في هذا البحث البرهنة على أن تركيب النظرية النحوية ومبادئها يجب أن يختلف بإختلاف الهدف منها. فالنحو الذي يوضع لتصحيح النطق بالعربية الفصحى (كما فعلى النحويون القدامى) لا يصلح بالضرورة لسبر أغوار التراكيب النحوية في نص محكي أو مكتوب، أي لا يسمح بإظهار مدى اسهامها في تأدية المعنى العام للنص. وإن صلح لذلك فهو كالشيء في غير محله، لا يفي بملء الغرض
