Abstract:
Due to the recent advancements in mobile technologies, the massive deployment of smartphones in the markets has become a thriving trend. These systems gained high popularity among users due to their relatively low cost and continuous expansion towards better functionalities and performance. We believe that the pervasive utilization of these systems and ease of use help us build mobile applications that are of big aid for people with disabilities. In this paper, we present My vWallet, an easy to use interactive smartphone application dedicated to assist people suffering from dyscalculia, mathematical computation difficulties and mild or moderate mental deficiency to easily overcome situations where money managing and exchange is required. Our application provides an interactive and easy to use graphical user interface, which provides an efficient and simple way for handling monetary exchange. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt to develop a mobile software that targets this issue.
