Title: Early learners in lebanese archaeology and art museums: A sociocultural case study
Authors: Abboud, Nelly
Affiliations: Institute of History Archeology and Near Eastern Studies
Issue Date: 2020
Part of: S. E. Shaffer, International Thinking on Children in Museums. Routledge.
Abstract:
Chapter author Nelly Abboud details the lack of unity among museums in the portrayal of Lebanese history and the impact on children across Lebanon. Even with this past documentation of conflicted views, museums in recent years are thriving, and with this change, are shifting their view of young children from outsiders to insiders in the museum community. She suggests an opportunity to develop knowledge of early learners with museums investing in this new audience.
