Observation in A-pillars failures in vehicles is a critical consideration while designing components such as pillars in order to enhance the designs safety. The aim of this project is to study the A pillar reaction towards a rollover crash. To do so a finite element simulation is done using 2 criteria the deformation and the stress distribution, in order to improve the A- pillar properties. In addition to that, a study of the manufacturing process related to its mechanical properties was done where many tests were applied [1]. Nowadays the world is facing a huge dilemma concerning the weight safety factor. For the last 20 years car manufacturers primary goal was safety which was achieved by increasing the wall thickness which leads to weight increase and high gas emissions. In modern manufacturing, tailoring technology is used to decrease thickness and weight due to mechanical properties distribution so passengers safety and sight angle is improved [1].
