Abstract: 
The project is a nine story residential building located in Tripoli. Gravity design calculations and criteria are based on the Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete (ACI 318-08) while seismic design was carried in accordance with the Uniform Building Code "UBC" The induced moments and shears in the frame are found by means of the structural finite element software ETABS where ACI 318-08 is not applicable. Shop drawings are provided in the appendix. Shear, torsion and deflection effects are also checked and accounted for in all beams as well as the slenderness in columns. Moreover a detailed design for shear walls and mat foundation is provided.
