This report will demonstrate in details the reinforced concrete design of all the structural component of a five story residential building that exists in northen region of Lebanon in the city of Abu Samra, el manar street. The design will be done so that the building will be able to withstand graviy loading as well as horizontal loading resulting from earthquakes and it will be carried out according to the 2005 American Concrete Institute Standards. Moments and forces that are required for the design of each element were obtained through the analysis of a three dimensional model simulating the building executed on the structural design program STAAD PRO.2007. Detailed drawings of the plans and cross sections of each element will be included to present the results of the design.
