Advisors: | Semaan, Nabil | Subjects: | Contractors--Selection and appointment | Issue Date: | 2012 | Abstract: | In order to obtain the best quality and revenue from a project and apply the Project Management Triangle (scope, cost, time), every owner must find a way to select the best contractor to do the job. This report includes a review of contractor evaluation and selection modeling methodologies. A new model for contractor selection is developed using the PROMETHEE method. An illustrative theoretical example is shown and a case study is also applied. Data were collected form a Lebanese project and using questionnaires from the Lebanese market. A sensitivity analysis of the problem is as well performed using @RISK software. Pictures, tables and drawings are included to aid in the explanation of the different methodologies. |
