Abstract:
The automobile industry has transformed the modern world in ways that are difficult to overstate. From the design and production of vehicles to the supporting infrastructure of roads, fueling stations and repair facilities, the automobile has become a central pillar of modern society. The massive industrial complex that has arisen around the automobile has had an enormous impact upon the society that relies upon it. One key manifestation of the automobile industry that opened the door for repair shops and a huge market after it is the widespread adoption of the automobile by the general public. As more and more people began to own cars, the demand for repair services and maintenance work increased exponentially, creating a significant opportunity for entrepreneurs and small business owners to establish repair shops and related businesses. Repair shops, auto body shops, and other related businesses sprung up to meet this demand, providing a range of. These businesses also offered specialized services like customizations and restorations, catering to the diverse needs and preferences of car owners. The growth of the automobile industry also led to the development of a vast network of suppliers and distributors of car parts and accessories. This created another significant market for entrepreneurs and small business owners who could supply these parts and accessories to repair shops and other businesses. This market continues to thrive today, with a wide range of aftermarket parts and accessories available for virtually every make and model of car. One of the key features of the automobile industry is its ability to bring together professionals from a wide range of disciplines. The mechanical engineers and physicists work on developing new and innovative technologies that can improve the efficiency, safety and performance of vehicles. The architects and artists work on designing the aesthetics of the vehicles, while the economists and electrical engineers work on developing the financial and electrical infrastructure that supports the industry. The craftsmen, advertisers and salespeople work on selling the vehicles to the public and maintaining them after they are sold. A deep observation of this industry and its market in Lebanon is needed and a diagnostic on the current situation needs to be explored.
