Issue Date: | 2024 | Publisher: | [Kalhat, Lebanon] : [University of Balamand], 2024 | Abstract: | HERA, a health NGO constantly working on improving conditions for people and their surroundings, has several plans and aims set, to achieve a healthier environment for all living things; however, in order for it to be able to properly attain its goals, with the right quality of services provided, it must resort to the implementation of a Quality Management System. The latter is a defined system which dictates all practices, procedures and tasks required for high quality levels. In this study, the intern focused on the importance of a QMS, while delving into the building of one for HERA. In fact, she worked on setting all QMS aspects, from HR to Purchase to Quality to Sales, all the way to Storage. The whole process took around 2 months. Finally, one with all forms and documents, dictating matters from job descriptions to actual processes, were set. After that, both, local and global recommendations and policies, tailored to the NGO’s conditions, were worked on, in order to have this system implemented and later taken care of, sustainably. This is because a QMS not only allows for the making of services in HERA smoother and more efficient, but it also promotes higher standards of quality thus providing the people with healthier outcomes. |
