Abstract: 
This research investigates the mediating role of emotional intelligence (EI) and stress tolerance on the relationship between Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD) and social anxiety disorder among individuals affiliated with Al Musaed E-sport Company in Lebanon, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia. The study aims to understand how the ability to perceive and regulate emotions influences the progression of IGD and social anxiety. A purposive sampling method is utilized to recruit 100 participants aged 18-40 who engage in gaming activities for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Data collection involves the use of the Social Interaction Anxiety Scale (SIAS), Bar-On Emotional Quotient of Intelligence (EQ-i), and Internet Gaming Disorder Scale-Short-Form (IGDS9-SF). Regression analyses support Hypotheses 1 and 2, indicating that emotional intelligence and stress tolerance mediate the effect of IGD on social anxiety levels. Higher scores in EQ-i and stress tolerance are associated with lower levels of social anxiety. This study provides insights for developing interventions and preventive measures to address IGD symptoms and promote mental well-being in gaming communities.
