Issue Date: | 2024 | Abstract: | This literature review aims to investigate the personality traits exhibited by Lebanese psychology students. The study identifies that Lebanese psychology students exhibit various personality traits such as extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience. These traits can have an impact on the student's academic performance, behavior, career choices, and overall well-being. Additionally, the review explores the prevalence of the Dark Triad personality traits - narcissism, psychopathy, and Machiavellianism - among Lebanese psychology students and their potential association with academic performance, and mental health. It provides an overview of previous research carried out on the Dark Triad across different cultures and highlights the need for further research in Lebanon. The study underscores the importance of considering individual personality differences when designing effective education and counseling programs for Lebanese psychology students. |
