Violence et langage chez les Beni-Gavroche de Bagatelle (quartier de Toulouse)

Abstract

Violence et langage ont la même origine: le désir d'exister, de maîtriser, de se protéger, de se reproduire, de se survivre. Le désir est violence ou tout au moins une forme de violence puisqu'il implique de s'intégrer l'autre, de s'approprier l'objet convoité, de se rendre pareil à un modèle, donc de se faire violence. Lecture des problèmes d'un "quartier difficile" de Toulouse.

Violence and language come from the same origin: the desire for existence, control, defense (protection), reproduction and survival. Desire is violence, or at least, a form of violence because it implies the integration of the other and possession of the desired object, to make it identical to a model. In other words, desire is the practice of violence on oneself. The present article is an analysis of problems in one of the "difficult neighborhoods" in the suburbs of Toulouse.
