Abstract: 
Le "moi" romanesque étant une construction progressive d'une identité qui réserve bien des surprises, nous avons eu recours à l'analyse linguistique pour y démêler les fils et éclairer le parcours épineux que prend la connaissance de soi, et ce dans le roman d'Umberto Eco "Le nom de la rose".

Since the "me" is a progressive construction of a hidden identity that reserve many surprises, we recurred to linguistic analysis to unravel its threads and shed light on the difficult path that "the knowing the self" process takes, which is revealed in The Name of the Rose.

بما ان ال"أنا" الروائية هي بناء تصاعدي لهوية متوارية دوما، توسّلنا التحليل اللساني للكشف عن خيوطها وإلقاء الضوء على المسار الشائك الذي تسلكه عملية معرفة الذات وذلك في رواية أمبرتو أيكو، اسم الوردة
