تلقي الرواية في ((دائرة معارف)) البستاني

Abstract

تقدم هذه الدراسة قراءة لنص من النصوص النقدية المجهولة من مرحلة القرن التاسع عشر؛ وهو مادة «رواية» التي وردت في الجزء الثامن من «دائرة المعارف»، وتسندها إلى سليم البستاني (١٨٤٨ - ١٨٨٤). وتعتمد الدراسة على منهجية التحليل الثقافي التي تتيح للقارئ المعاصر وضع مادة )رواية) في إطار مجموعة من السياقات الثقافية المتقاطعة معها. فتتناول ثلاثة محاور رئيسية يعالج أولها رؤية البستاني لأصالة الوجود التاريخى للرواية، ويتناول ثانيها تحلية ماهية الرواية مقارنة ماهية (الحكاية)) و«المسرحية» أو «الدراما» في رؤية البستاني. في حين يختص المحور الثالث بتحليل تصور البستاني للمهام التعليمية والأخلاقية التي يقترن بها تحقيق الرواية لنوع من اللذة أو المتعة التي تتيح إمكانية تغيير سلوك القارئ

Cette étude propose une analyse d'un texte rédigé au XIXe siècle : I’article « Roman » de Selim AI Boustany (1848-1884) publié dans le huitième volume de « Dairat AI- Maaref » ou « I’Encyclopédie ». Partant d'une méthodologie de I'analyse culturelle, I'étude permet au lecteur moderne de situer cet article dans le cadre d 'un ensemble de contextes culturels. Elle privilégie trois grands axes de travail : le premier traite la vision d'AI-Boustany concernant l'authenticité de l'existence historique du roman ; le deuxième tente une clarification de sa définition du roman par rapport à celle du conte, de la pièce de théâtre et du drame ; alors que le troisième se veut une analyse de sa conception de la mission éducative et éthique du roman, liant le plaisir de sa lecture a un éventuel changement de la conduite du lecteur.

This study presents an analysis of an anonymous text written in the 19th century. It is a "novel" mentioned in the 8th volume of the "Dāʾirat al-Maʿārif" and attributed to Selim Al-Boustani (1848-1884). The study is based on the methodology of cultural analysis, which allows the contemporary reader to frame this novel in a cultural context. It relies on three main axes: the first deals with Al-Boustani's vision on the originality of the novel’s historical existence; the second attempts to clarify the essence of the novel, compared to Al-Boustany’s view of what is “story”, “play”, or “drama”; the third deals with the analysis of Al-Boustany’s perception of the educational and moral tasks that cannot be separated from the pleasure derived from reading a novel, which might change the behavior of the reader.
