Mechanical loads are sometimes used to bend steel beams for curving. For this purpose, concentrated forces are applied to deform the beam about its weak axis. This paper derives equations to define the load versus residual deformation response for overhanging steel beams. Idealization of the circular curve based on the deformed shape is also presented. The process is verified by a numerical example.en_US
