Abstract

With the rise of Islam, the Arabs developed a new vision of history, which in turn influenced the study of the history of prophets preceding “Muhammad the last of the prophets”. The Muslim Arabic historians mentioned the biography of Christ in the studies, and although the references upon which they depended were various, the Holy Quran was their principal reference. However, none of the historians studied the vision of Christ according to Ya’qubi who analysed the references upon which he depended.
