صلاح الدين والاشراف العلويين في دمشق من خلال نقش كتابيّ جديد

Abstract

يُقدم هذا المقال دراسة لنقش كتابيّ مُكتشف قرب الباب الشرقيّ للجامع الأمويّ الكبير في مدينة دمشق. يتحدث هذا النقش عن وقف صلاح الدين الأيوبيّ لدار على الأشراف العلويّين في المدينة. هذه الدار التي تمّ التعرف على هوية مالكها الاساسيّ وهو أحد أمراء الأسرة الأمويّة. كما شكلت تالياّ مدخلاً لدراسة تاريخ شيعة دمشق في هذا القطاع من المدينة عبر دراسة المباني التي ارتبطت بهم

This article presents a study of an inscription that was discovered near the Eastern door of the Great Umayyad Mosque in Damascus. The inscription mentions the endowment of a house by Saladin to the Alawites ashrafs in the city. The house’s previous owner was identified as one of the Umayyad princes. This house then served as a catalyst to the earliest studies into the history of the Shiites of Damascus in this sector of the city, by way of examining the architecture of the buildings associated with them.
