dc.description.abstract | This paper presents a review on the charging techniques of the batteries, particularly the lithium polymer 'LiFePO4'. The lithium polymer entrusts some characteristics, which select it over the other types of batteries in usage. Basically, there exists one charging technique that is commonly used in the industries nowadays and it is known by constant-current constant-voltage technique (CC-CV). Nevertheless, this technique might unveil some drawbacks to the battery as a whole such as overvoltage, which can lead to shortened lifetime of the battery. This is why a battery management system has been developed to protect each cell of the battery. Moreover, it would be interesting to see if there are any other techniques, which might either replace or enhance the conventional technique. This paper will be assisted with equations and graphs illuminating and verifying our work. | en_US |
