dc.description.abstractThis project aims at creating an eBook in order to teach elementary students basic addition and subtraction concepts according to the perception of Vergnaud. It is an eBook lesson that teaches these simple concepts but in a new way, three major chapters are included. The first chapter is constituted by the set theory of Vergnaud, the second one by the transformation part and the final one by the relation part of Vergnaud theory. The purpose of the project is to be able to verify the effects of eBook learning on students. The mathematical eBook is designed on the ADDIE model. The eBook was implemented in Balamand English elementary schools in one class of 26 students using constructivism as a supporting learning theory. Multiple data gathering tools were used to gather data about the eBook effect on students. The data gathered did not lead to any clear result on learning enhancement. However, the efficiency of the eBook in enhancing the students motivation and engagement in learning was part of the research results.en_US
