Issue Date: | 2019 | Abstract: | Recently, quality management & patient satisfaction in laboratories have been taken into consideration to a large extent in North Lebanons laboratories and healthcare centers. Throughout this development, the hospitals/ laboratories in this area are in an ongoing competition and striving to get more accreditations and certifications to acquire and maintain an added value among the competitors. JCI now is the worlds largest healthcare accreditor, which supports laboratory processes and management to accomplish an objective and accurate evaluation. Acquiring such accreditation in many hospitals/ laboratories in the area of the project implementation is now a very important goal in the strategy of their quality improvement systems. A laboratory in this area was targeted for the implementation of the JCI Accreditation for clinical laboratories, where a laboratory assessment against this standard was conducted, and a quality improvement plan was designed accordingly. |
