Issue Date: 2015
Abstract:
This report holds information about an invention with a due purpose of preventing engine failure on any airliner whether commercial or none commercial. This project opens up a relatively old criteria that includes outboard or foreign objects affecting the engines of the aircraft on low altitude flight and different aircraft attitudes, in this case birds are the main concern. The main goal is to design and study some sort of retractable cover that will deploy when a nearby flock of birds is heading towards the aircraft and might enter the inlets of the engines.
