Subjects: Label slitting machine--Design and construction
Issue Date: 2014
Abstract:
Label slitting machine is designed to perform the slitting process using shear slitting. The center axis of the web is at 350mm from the wall of the machine. Elements in the assembly are three 50 mm diameter Bladder Air Shafts to hold onto the paper rolls, six 35mm diameter Idler Rollers to transport the web, a Symat 50 Web Guide to adjust the web, four Helios Sheer Slitting Knives series A with T200 anvils designed into a full slitting unit to perform the slitting process, and a 780 W brake system and a 1 KW electrical motor to perform the drive operation. This system will be held on a 25mm steel plate on a U Beam frame system, an a control unit connected to the system will control the aspect of the drive system using a diameter calculator measurement control to monitor the diameter of the rolls and regulate the speed of rotation. All elements are designed with minimal deformations to limit errors in the slitting process.
