Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to attempt to assure the position of health information system as the fundamental aspect of competitive advantage in private Lebanese hospitals and to elucidate the significant variables maneuvering the differentiator, through magnitude and efficiency, interoperability, maintenance and reliability, usage and familiarity. Deductive in nature, this paper makes the most of qualitative analysis through three different theories, which investigates four arguments associated with the nature of social study and their alliance with preferred variables. The findings provide confirmation of increase practice of this system by the studied Health care facilities. Moreover results expose that these facilities attribute a great substance on technical usage of information and the human ability to operate and interpret the collected data. Findings suggested that the existence and proper use of health information technology forms a theoretical value for competitive advantage. Many impediments limited the research through a restrict data collection and a narrow environmental record. Time limitation constituted one of the biggest hurdles facing the development and evolution of the study. This document composes a corner stone for upcoming studies, making this social revision an exploratory revision.
