Abstract:
The project consists of analyzing, controlling and linearizing a derived mathematical model of a scaled model helicopter. This mathematical model will be derived based on accurate studies, where each component will be modeled apart. The linearization will be done by taking some assumptions during hovering state and previous studies on scaled model helicopter will be taken into consideration. Analog circuits will be designed, summed and simulated together on Multisim to form the linearized system. After linearization, controllability observability and stability tests should be done to demonstrate the importance of control. The system will be translated from multiple input multiple output into single input single output system. Each input will be controlled apart using PID controller design and modern control as state feedback control and identity observer. Meanwhile, Matlab will be used to tune the PID controller. Moreover, the implementation of the classical and modern control system for the linearized MIMO transfer functions will be done on LabVIEW software. In addition, the linearized model and the controller design was downloaded and simulated on MyRIO hardware.
