Issue Date: 2016
Abstract:
Marines system identification and modeling is a concise resource covering the theory and simulation parts of a floating power generation, electrical distribution and earthing system of ships using MATLAB program. First the types and dimensions of ships were described then the power generation of the system was studied. Next, the power flow system and the earthing system of the marines system were studied as well. Later, a simulation of the theoretical part was done and finally the human error and marines safety tips were listed. The automation of the electrical installation on ships, including a new technology in this system, earthing system and adding an emergency set and not to forget the most important part of the marines system; safety motivates us to accomplish this project.
