Title: | Framework for the implementation of performance-based adaptive learning | Authors: | Karami, Jamil | Advisors: | Melki, Antoine | Subjects: | Internet in education Distance education Adaptive computing systems Computer-assisted instruction |
Issue Date: | 2019 | Abstract: | In the last two decades, web-based learning has become a popular medium for learners to gain knowledge on a large selection of topics. Owing to that, there has been growing interest in the development of improved strategies for the organization of the learning curricula, which will ideally result in an adaptive learning experience for users of web-based learning tools. And although several tools have been developed for this purpose, no notable ones exist that allow the redevelopment of existing curricula and their adaptation for adaptive learning methods. In this paper, I study the existing literature on adaptive learning and suggest a new structure for a framework that enables the development of adaptive curricula for learning systems. |
