Abstract: 
The purpose of this project is to calculate the actual productivity of an earthmoving operation and to know if the number of equipments used was enough to get the maximum production, or if it was better to use more specific machines. Moreover, this study is also conducted to compare the theoretical productivity of the earthmoving operation with the actual productivity. The calculation of productivity depends on several factors that affect directly the productivity of a system. Therefore visits in situ were made to see these factors, their real impacts and how they can be calculated in order to calculate the actual productivity. This study also allowed us to find the importance of each factor and what are the causes of such problems on the site. Consequently companies may reduce the effects of these factors in order to reach a maximize productivity and not delay the project and cause cost overruns. The results are that the actual productivity is lower than the theoretical productivity of any machines working in the project and that it is always very important to make such a study to find the weak point in the construction process and to fix it and get a better productivity.
