At the end of our studies at the University of Balamand, a graduation project must be done by each group of students on a specific topic proposed by the teachers. The topic that we chose and we were assigned is the study of parking structure by doing an earthquake resistant and geometric design according to UBC 97 for earthquake design , ACI 318 for reinforced concrete elements design ,ASCE 7 for loads and forces , and AASHTO to meet the requirements and facilities of parking structure .in addition to that , we did thermal analysis and how this analysis can affect the volume and the elements of parking garage . The main target of this project is to find an optimal solution to reduce the traffic and congested areas especially in the cities. In this project we will present a full design for a parking: 1. The geometrical design. 2. Earthquake resistant design. 3. Thermal analysis. 4. Finally, we end with ETABS data that contains tables and results related to earthquake.
