Abstract:
This project includes the full design of a residential building structural components. Earthquake resisting structures shear walls, moment resisting frames (beams and columns), two way and one way ribbed slab two way and one way solid slab. The live, dead, earthquake loads, axial loads, moments and shears were calculated for all the structure elements. Many iterations were made using ETABS software to determine the optimum columns size and distributions. This report will show the seismic design of all the structural elements in this building. It will show all the detailed design of the frames (columns and beams), the slabs, the shear walls, and the foundations. The adequacy of all members were checked and verified.
