Authors: Omar, Hazem

Subjects: Soils--Testing--Case studies
Reliability (Engineering)
Issue Date: 2014
Abstract:
The aim of this project is to perform a real soil identification using geophysical and geotechnical parameters in order to use those results to characterize the spatial variability of soil properties. Those results are then introduced in the geotechnical software FLAC2D to study the influence in terms of seismic response of different sedimentary materials composing the sediments and their importance in terms of aggravating factor. Several 2D models were built based on the available geophysical and geotechnical data and analyses. The seismic responses were presented and discussed.
