Abstract:
This project is about designing a two span skew reinforced concrete bridge. The thickness of the deck is 75 cm and each span is 17.06 meters length. The project is about making a full design of this bridge according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Works requirements. The first step towards the completion of this project was to make a model of the bridge using STAAD Pro. After getting all the values for moments and shear, the deck was designed and the sections were drawn. The next step was to design neoprene pads to guarantee the transfer of loads from deck to abutments. The final step was about designing piers, abutments and foundations.
