Abstract:
The following report contains the seismic design of the crystal tower. This project has many objectives such as modeling the structure using ETABS for the building design, and SAFE for the foundation design, defining all the buildings parameters such as load, developing all the load combinations necessary for the design purposes and getting the results in terms of area of steel for each element. At the end to generate all drawings needed. The design is done according to the ACI-318M-11, UBC-97 and ASCE-7-10. The ACI code is used for all concrete members, the UBC-97 is used for the earthquake design and the ASCE-7-10 gives an idea on the various loads present in each scenario. All computations and methods will be shown lately in the report clearly and well developed for the reader.
