Abstract:
The Balamand Medical Centre will includes a large hospital, outpatient clinics, and employee housing and food & beverage places. So it is expected to attract a large number of vehicles requiring adequate circulation and parking spaces. A traffic impact study was conducted to assess the capacity of the external and internal roads, the adequacy of the access points, the validity of the internal circulation and the provision of parking spaces. This research generated a formula relating the number of required parking spaces and the number of visitors to the hospital, while studying the traffic impact of the hospital on the external road network.
