Abstract: 
This report présents the results of a complete survey of the domestic architectural heritage of two quarters of Beierut (Lebanon). Over 500 traditional houses in Rmeil and Medawwar were examined, defining 10 different types of dwellings, classified according to their external architectural forms but especially according to their time scales, environments, functions and social status.
