This article is meant to go beyond the oppositions accomplished/unaccomplished ('al-madi / 'al-mudari') and verbal sentence / nominal sentence. It focuses on two important notions: the verbal system and the Arabic sentence. This procedure results necessarily in redefining the role of the auxiliary and in questioning the concept of nominal sentence and some paradigms that only the " 'I'rab " can justify.en_US
