Abstract:
Facing the widespread proliferation of AI in businesses around the world, employees have
mixed feelings about the adoption of this technology in their workplace. Some employees
perceive it as a threat to their careers, while others consider it as a challenge and a chance for
career development. This systematic literature review discusses employees’ perception of AI
by reviewing 54 studies. In this review, a bibliometric analysis was employed in addition to
both ADO-TCM framework. The antecedents, decisions and outcomes (ADO) framework
highlights the reasons for accepting or rejecting AI in the workplace, the measures taken by
organizations in this regard and the outcomes of these measures. A summary of theory,
context and method (TCM) framework helps identify the theories, contexts, and
methodologies applied in the articles. This review aims to guide organizations into headache free integration of AI into the workplace and to reveal the gaps in literature in order to
provide recommendations for future research.
