Issue Date: | 2024 | Publisher: | [Kalhat, Lebanon] : [University of Balamand], 2024 | Abstract: | Human instinct in times of emergency is divided into a fight-or-flight response. Some individuals are driven by the fight response innately rushing to the emergency scene and trying to provide immediate help. This application is designed to facilitate their intervention by offering guidance and resources that add to their efforts making it more effective and beneficial before the arrival of the professionals. The other group that experiences the flight response and is impotent to directly contribute to the emergency scene can still play an important role. The application tackles the process of contacting first responders by guiding the individuals who are usually in-flight mode into communicating effectively and ensuring they can quickly relay vital information. |
