Abstract:
This report presents the outcomes of a practicum focused on the Integrated Hospital
Occupational Safety Initiative at the American University of Beirut Medical Center
(AUBMC). The primary objective was to enhance occupational safety through
comprehensive risk assessments, staff training, and implementation of updated safety
protocols. Methodologies included observational studies, staff surveys, and safety audits. Key
findings indicate significant improvements in staff compliance with safety procedures and a
reduction in reported incidents. These results underscore the importance of ongoing training
and the implementation of robust safety measures to ensure a safe working environment for
all hospital staff. Recommendations for further improvements and future research are
discussed.
