Abstract: 
Oncology nursing in Lebanon presents exceptional emotional challenges for healthcare professionals, impacting their mental well-being due to limited access to emotional and psychological support. The proposed study focuses on understanding the impact of emotional intelligence on the mental health of oncology nurses mainly burnout, and anxiety, aiming to provide valuable insights into the unique challenges faced by these healthcare professionals. The study employs a quantitative epistemological approach. An online invitation letter composed of an informed consent and a survey was sent to all possible nurses working in the five hospitals the snowballing technique, and eventually the study ended with (N=71) participants aged between 21 and 55 years. Nursed filled out a questionnaire made up of four sections, including demographic information, the Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire - Short Form (TEIQue SF), the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), and the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). Data analysis involved non-parametric tests and the Baron and Kenny model to explore the mediation effect of emotional intelligence on the relationship between anxiety and burnout. The study seeks to contribute to the enhancement of nursing practices and the overall well-being of healthcare
providers in Lebanon.
