dc.description.abstract | Women are at risk of malnutrition and cervical cancer. Malnutrition has significant impacts on women, in terms of their own wellbeing and health, while cervical cancer continues to claim the lives of many. However, simple screening for detection could save and protect those women. This issue is particularly stark in Lebanon, where the burden of disease is heaviest and access to the effective prevention services is relatively quite limited. The Makhzoumi Foundation has been implementing several interventions in Lebanon to effectively prevent cervical cancer and malnutrition of women, in addition to treatment. The aim is to improve women's health by promoting affordable, effective and appropriate services and awareness for malnutrition and cervical cancer prevention. | en_US |
