The intern completed 280 hours of internship requirements in SIDC, covering a period of 4 months (February- May 2023). The role of the intern was to provide online courses with definitions, case studies, and questions on internal policies adopted by the organization. The intern was therefore, able to apply several theoretical concepts learned during the Master’s Degree in Public Health, and was able to work in a host organization to cover major public health topics. Three courses were developed online during the course of the internship, including whistleblowing, protection of children and vulnerable adults, and fraud and corruption, which helped the intern gain extensive knowledge in new areas and fields of expertise. The results and feedback from colleagues have shown that the project was needed and appreciated in the organization. However, the intern commends several recommendations for the organization in order to ensure sustainability of the courses, and on the public policy level for ensuring that all NGOs in Lebanon tend to adopt similar strategies.en_US
