dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research is to develop a multi-Criteria Decision model that assesses sustainable green indicators for rural municipality in Lebanon. The developed model uses the following green indicators: i. Public sewage network ii. Sewage treatment plant iii. Renewable energy iv. Natural reserves and green areas v. Historical buildings preservation vi. Transportation vii. Solid waste management viii. Natural reservoirs, wells and drinking water ix. Stainable buildings It uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process in order to evaluate the indicators weights. Then a modified version on PROMETHEE is used in order to aggregate the indicators and evaluate a green index. Data were collected using interviews with experts and the model was finally applied and tested on three different Lebanese municipalities. Sensitivity analysis was also applied on the model to compute the effect of each factor on the final weight. | en_US |
