The internship had 4 objectives: (1)Recognize the multidisciplinary nature of public health and the contributions different disciplines make to understanding health-related issues and developing effective responses to them, (2) Manage resources efficiently and apply them effectively to achieve the desired public health outcomes and maximize the impact of programs and strategies within an often limited resource base, (3) Understand the complex interplay between individual, local, regional, and global factors in determining the health status of populations, and (4) Demonstrate teamwork and leadership skills. In addition, it took place at Oxfam, an international non-governmental organization and lasted from the 26th of July 2022 to the 30th of November 2022. The objectives were achieved through different project management tasks covering mainly the Women’s Voice and Leadership project but also the Masarouna project, both of which are directly related to women’s empowerment, women’s rights, and gender equality. Gender inequality has affected women and girls lives in many ways among which subjecting them to increased poverty, discrimination and abuse. Hence, gender equality is one of the Sustainable Development Goals.en_US
