The intern conducted an internship to review the partnership process of the Grants Department at Relief International, from February 2022 until May 2022. Partnerships are defined as agreements between NGOs and private sector, public sector, and other organizations. When more than two individuals or organizations find it in their common interest to work together toward a specific outcome, this develops a donor partnership. The main objective was to develop, implement, and evaluate an assessment tool, which is a checklist, to assess the partnership relationship between RI and partner PHCCs. The tool was piloted in Dar El Fatwa PHCC and implemented at Dar Al Ajaza PHCC, both in Beirut. The checklist was divided into two categories, PHCC and RI. Both categories showed to be above target for Dar Al Ajaza PHCC, which reflected a good relationship between the two parties. This checklist is newly developed and is limited to assess the relationship between the NGO and PHCCs. Hence, recommendations are in place to validate the tool and use it for future assessments within Lebanon and the MENA region. The evaluation of the checklist was based on three classifications: goal based, process based, and outcome based. The tool achieved its purpose and was applicable to all PHCCs. Also, the simplicity of the tool allowed the assessor to reach the goal more efficiently, and this was noticed in the piloting phase. Moreover, the results of the checklist will lead to future action plans and improvements of partnerships. Donor policies and regulations are widely available online for entities seeking partnerships to find and write proposals accordingly. It is important for seekers to have good knowledge and qualified personnel to approach donors and select benefactors that could potentially share the same interests and goals.en_US
