Abstract:
The preservation of historical and cultural architectural heritage is gaining more significance with time.
Though Tripoli and El-Mina are working to some extent on preserving cultural and historical buildings, they have neglected most. One location that has been neglected was the site of the train station and the Lions Tower. The train station in El-Mina Tripoli has been abandoned since 1975 and the site where it stands has been neglected.
The project would have the site revitalized and the buildings rehabilitated by reintegrating the existing buildings as well as to develop the needed infrastructure and amenities for the incoming tourists.
