The aim of this work is to study the effects of placing differently sized holes at the level of the Patellar Tendons and Fibula Head, as well as assessing the effect of changing the prostheses materials, i.e. flax, hemp and low density polyethylene in reducing discomfort in prosthetics. This is achieved by examining the resulting stresses (equivalent and shear), strain, and deformation during prostheses use through simulations. The main areas of focus are the rim, Patellar Tendons, Fibula Head, and inner thigh. Depending on the hole size, the stresses, strain, and deformation were found to decrease, increase, or a mix of both across the different areas in the prosthesis. The obtained results from Ansys are divided between shear stress, equivalent stress, strain, and deformation. Results at the main focus areas are compared across a variety of tested PT and FH hole sizes, for the three materials considered in this study. The obtained results have partially confirmed some theories and has generated new ones while giving a better idea about the behavior of prosthetics and how it may vary.en_US
