dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research is to produce a model through which an industrial facility would be qualified as “Green”. “Green industries” are defined in the context of existing local and global rating systems. A new rating system for assessing and rating industrial facilities is presented. The work will add to the literature and state of knowledge by designing a new industrial building facility model which would help industries become green while reducing their costs and improving their revenues, quality and services. Additionally, this model would help managers run their industries in a professional and harmless way, and provide all the necessary tools needed to create a socially, ecologically and economically professional industry. A set of criteria and sub-criteria were introduced for the evaluation of an industrial facility as green. AHP, MAUT, interviews and surveys were carried out to produce a final green score for an industrial facility. The final output is a green industrial assessment model that is specifically designed for the qualification of an industrial facility as green or not. | en_US |
